The safest and most innovative architectural facade panel.
The enhanced thermal properties of Exinclad® is an essential function of Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® . Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® is unique technology secured under Standard Patent, Innovation Patent and International PCT.
Exintech’s patented panel technology chemically fuses zinc coated steel and aluminium through heat fusion chambers to form a high-performance, high-tensile, non-combustible façade panel.
The proprietary material combination of steel and aluminium used in the production of Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® includes Heat Sink technology. This technology actively transfers thermal energy (heat energy) from the lower thermal conductivity of steel to the higher thermal conductivity of aluminium through a process of dissipation of heat.
This protects the panel in high temperature environments where heat resistance is crucial, ensuring Exinclad® delivers ‘best in class’ resistance to fire and extreme temperatures.
Exinclad® is A1 rated to EN13501-1.
Exinclad® can be fabricated into panels and cassettes of various shapes and sizes using the following processing methods.
Cutting using carbide tipped trapezoid/flat tooth circular saw blades is recommended. Depth gauge instruments are required to ensure consistent cut depths within prescribed limits for 2.5 mm panel thickness.
To achieve the best dimensional size and shape the use of CNC equipment is highly recommended for manufacturing large volume production. V-shaped and Rectangular shaped routing grooves are cut on the rear face of the panels. For 2.5 mm Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® processing equipment must be set at a cutting and routing depth of no more than 1.8mm
Can be used to cut and route Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® . Maximum cut depth of 1.8 mm. must be adhered to in accordance with the processing guidelines in this Technical Guide.
Cutting method can be adopted to cut Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® panels to size. Ensure blade selection is appropriate for solid aluminium sheeting.
Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® can be performed easily using folding tools and machinery. Folding can be performed by hand on small panel sections. For best results even pressure must be applied to all areas of the fold return back towards the V-groove.
Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® can be preformed to create curved surfaces using specialised bending machines. Machine rollers must be calibrated to ensure minimum internal bending radius is achieved. To prevent the surfaces from being damaged, the protective film must not be removed during processing. Prior to commencement of the production series a prototype should be produced.
Can be performed on Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® by qualified technicians using both MIG and TIG welding methods, however is not recommended.
Jigs are required for drilling holes centrically in the Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® panels and for centrically setting rivets or screws. Drill holes in the panels must be large enough to allow for the expected thermal expansion. Care must be taken when aligning the substructure and setting rivets and screws.
Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® to framing and substrates can be undertaken with both rivets and screws. Stainless Steel screws must be used at all times. Tolerances for thermal linear expansion and building movements must always be considered. Screws must be suitable for the corresponding substructure (Refer to manufacture’s specifications).
Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® can be achieved by a variety of processing and milling methods. Designs for architectural facade must be meet structural engineering guidelines.
Exinclad® Fused Steel Panel® is offered with the choice of high-performance PVDF and HDP coating systems to create visually striking quality facades that endure.
